Photo Friday: "Dark Days" of Corseted Gents by Billy Winters

The Posture Improver from the 2013 collection.

We recently collaborated with internationally published fashion photographer Billy Winters, showing off some of our laced-up accessories and men's corsetry on a talented bevy of male models.  (Needless to say, it was a rough day for us on-set.)

Kitten Collar, available in ready-to-wear or custom fit.

Our previous collaboration with Billy Winters yielded this stunning editorial in Tantalum: Bound To You, which also features an interview with Dark Garden's proprietress, Autumn Adamme.

Though corsets are classically thought of as a hyper-feminine garment, they can be immensely versatile, and their structured nature lends itself beautiful to a tailored menswear aesthetic.  Whatever your aesthetic, Dark Garden can create a corset or ensemble to suit your fancy.  Stop by the shop at 321 Linden St. Thursday through Tuesday for a ready-to-wear fitting and heady dose of eye candy, or call ahead at 415-431-7684 to schedule a custom consultation with a senior member of our design team.

LA Splash: The Edwardian Ball LA - what lies on The Curious Sofa  Though the Edwardian Ball is practically a fashion show in the form of the attendees alone, Dark Garden puts on the official fashion show for both the LA and San Francisco iterations of the event.  We're featured in at least 7 photos, alongside some amazing captures of our friends in the Vau De Vire Society, and Autumn reveals a little-known fact about the evening's titular story...

SFLUXE: 25 Phenomenal Looks from SF Ballet Gala We're in excellent company, featured amongst gowns by Very Wang and Dolce & Gabbana.  Slide 4 shows off Elizabeth Fullerton's beautiful custom Aziza ensemble in a luminous purple taffeta.
