Workshop: Pattern and Stripe Matching for Garment and Costume Making

photo: Joel Aron

Join *Autumn Adamme* of Dark Garden Unique Corsetry to learn tricks and techniques for layout, planning, cutting and stitching of patterned materials.

Pattern and stripe matching is one of the many things that sets a good garment apart from a great garment.
Matching can also create new and different patterns that weren't evident in the fabric.
Careful planning goes into fabric layout, cutting and stitching ~ this can feel impossible if you haven't tried it yet, but once you begin, you'll be hooked!

Please bring your garment pattern and fabric, fine pins and rotary cutters
and mats. Techniques will be shown for stripes, plaids and large arabesque
vine patterned prints and brocades.
Guest teacher *Autumn Adamme* has been creating costumes, wedding gowns and
corsets since 1987. Her exceptional attention to detail has put her a cut
above in the historical costume community and her gowns and corsets are
found in the pages of fashion magazines, on models and celebrities in the
US and Europe.
*11am-4pm, Sunday October 7*
$100
